CAMPBELLSBURG, Ind. (August 13, 2018) – After a three-week break, racing resumed for the KR4/Husqvarna team in Campbellsburg, Indiana. The Wade Farm Full Gas Sprint Enduro (FGSE) boasted dry and dusty race conditions for the sixth round where each KR4 pro team member left with a podium finish.

Layne Michael was in the groove this weekend, where he was in contention for many of the test wins. After winning test three on Saturday, Michael set in third place heading into the second day of racing. With his competitor just a mere two seconds behind him, Michael had an immense amount of pressure on him. Despite a few mistakes on Sunday, Michael’s efforts were good enough to score him a spot on the overall podium where he finished third. This marks Michael’s second FGSE podium of the year.

“It was a good weekend,” said Michael. “I rode pretty mistake free all weekend and was top three in almost every test – I even won one on Saturday. I put myself in a good position for Sunday and was able to ride it in for third overall.”

Liam Draper has been a powerhouse in the Pro 2 class the entire season.

Draper won nine out of twelve tests en route to the class win. Draper maintains control of the points lead in the Pro 2 division by 62 points. “I had good weekend getting and win, but the boys definitely made me work for it,” explained Draper. “I struggled a lot in the cross tests, but made up for it in the enduro tests.”

In the Women’s Pro class, Tayla Jones claimed another win. Jones won almost every test, only finishing second in three. “I had a good weekend at the FGSE,” said Jones. “The track was challenging with the dry conditions, but I felt good on the bike and I’m stoked to grab the win both days!”
The Arrive-n-Ride team welcomed Lachlan Harrison from Australia. The Wade Farm FGSE marked Harrison’s first race on American soil and he faired off exceptionally well, placing eighth in the highly-competitive Open A class, just one position behind his teammates, Michael McLean. Brandon Keegan ended up fifth in the Lites A class.

The KR4/Husqvarna team will head east to Zanesville, Ohio for the Grassman National Enduro on Sunday, August 26, before FGSE racing resumes on Labor Day weekend in South Carolina.
