UNION, S.C. (September 4, 2018) – The iconic Big Buck Farm in Union, South Carolina hosted the penultimate round of the Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro (FGSE) series with a unique Sunday and Monday schedule in conjunction with the Labor Day Weekend. The course was the typical hard-packed track with rather dusty conditions, with all three KR4/Husqvarna pro team members landing podium finishes in their respective divisions!

Perhaps the biggest headliner was Liam Draper who dominated the first four tests on Sunday and finished 3-2 in the remaining cross and enduro test on his Husqvarna FC250. On Sunday, Liam continued his hot-streak for a total of 8 of the possible 12 tests wins, which put Draper at the top of the charts for the Pro 2 win by over a minute. In addition to finishing just inside the top 10 overall, his class win allowed the New Zealander to wrap-up the Pro 2 championship a round early.

“It was great weekend for me and I really enjoyed track,” said Draper. “The enduro tests were good with heaps different lines to choose from, and of course it was cool to win my first USA championship!”

Layne Michael had his hands full fighting for the overall against some of the top off-road racers. Michael battled closely with Grant Baylor trailing right behind Baylor. As he headed into the second day of racing on Monday, Michael continued switching second and third in the test results with Baylor to ultimately finish third overall for the weekend. Michael is currently ranked fifth overall in the championship chase heading into the season finale FGSE at Hidden Valley Golf Course the weekend of October 20 and 21.

“It was a good weekend of racing and it was great to finish day two of racing in second,” explained Michael. “The top four guys were all close this weekend and I ended up with third overall. It feels good to have back-to-back podiums and have some positive momentum.”

Tayla Jones also found success in the familiar South Carolina woods. Jones won every tests but one, where she finished second. She continues the quest for her second-straight FGSE Women’s Pro class win for the team. “I had the best weekend and I’m stoked to get another win, thanks to everyone who supports me!” said Jones.
This coming weekend the KR4/Husqvarna team will make the long haul to the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for the Loose Moose National Enduro before heading to the inaugural Black Sky GNCC in New York the following weekend.
