Arlington, TX (February 16, 2019) – Three podiums last season in Monster Energy Supercross put Chase Sexton in pursuit of higher goals for the 2019 season, namely grabbing his first professional win. For parts of the 250SX East Region main event on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium, he was closing on race leader Austin Forkner and trying to get that elusive victory. A stall and a crash ended his bid. The Illinois native was able to recover and finish third.
“I felt really good, actually,” said Sexton. “I kind of struggled all day long, trying to just find a flow with the track. The track was pretty difficult. It was a little slick and in some parts tacky and rutted. We made a lot of bike changes today and I was really excited
“I’m looking forward to next week in Detroit,” Sexton said. “We have the Triple Crown [format].
Christian Craig missed the Arlington race with a thumb injury, he will continue to rehab in hopes of returning to racing shortly.
