As the historical start of the EnduroGP season, the opening round was the Italian national championship. The Assoluti d’Italia, once again served as a dress rehearsal for the entire world field.

Three of our riders were present, under the tent of Fabrizio Azzalin and the CH Racing team. A single day and 18 specials that gave the riders an opportunity to find out where they stood in relation to the rest of the field, a time to express themselves and take their marks.

Hamish MacDonald, the reigning Junior World Champion, returned in great shape and set the third best scratch time of the day behind the handlebars of his 300 SEF Factory. He will fight this year in E2, and this weekend’s performance makes us impatient to see how well he will perform the rest of the season.

Antoine Magain is back again on the 250 SE, he had a great day with a shattering start with an excellent scratch result in the first special. He was in a fight for 4th place all day, however he finished 5th in scratch.

Danny MacCanney completes the group with an excellent 6th place scratch finish. This was his first race on the 300 SE for the Isle of Man rider, who quickly took his bearings on the bike and is fitting very well in the team. Welcome Danny!
