Bike: Beta 430 RR Race Edition

Well the race started off not as planned. I got hung up in the first corner and was almost last off the start. I had to go through a pile of people to catch up with the front pack. As I was making my way through, a fellow Beta racer piled up right in front of me with the bike landing on top of him. I had to stop and pick the bike off of him, and as I was doing that I lost two positions to some top guys. I was able to pass everyone except the top 5 pretty quickly. Then, with some smooth riding, I ended up working my way up to 3rd. The race was 3:33 mins long and 92 miles of continuous corners, which I told myself just ride your race and do my very best. I was able to make make it passed some fast people by just staying smooth. My Beta 430 worked flawlessly!!”

“This weekend’s Hare and Hound went well! Still not quite where I want to be, but I’m only 5 seconds off the podium my first year on the big bike! The course was dusty and pretty brutal. My 430 RR fired right up and got me to a top 5 start. I just rode smooth and consistent over the 92 mile course to finish 4th in class and 5th overall! I can’t thank everyone enough who makes this whole thing possible.”

Round 2 of the NHHA series was a rough one for me. After flight delays and cancellations I ended up having to hitch a ride with a another racer/friend that happened to pass through Denver where I was stranded at. We drove all day Saturday through a blizzard and icy road conditions to get to the race. I had a good start on Sunday and was riding a good pace. I ended up crashing on loop 1 and hit my head pretty hard which resulted in spotted vision. After my crash I wasn’t able to pick up the pace and had to ride on reserve for the rest of the day. I’m bummed on my results but glad I was able to finish and walk away healthy.”

“The club set up an awesome course for us this weekend that made for tight and really fun racing. My Beta 250 was awesome in the tight trees and I felt great all day. I ended up coming in second to a fast local Texan but was able to beat all the series regulars and take over the points lead in pro 250 which made for a great weekend!”
